Reporting in the national press and media suggests strongly that loneliness has become a very serious problem in our society. This is due to many factors but the impact on individuals is significant. That is why we here at St Nicholas have for the past couple of years been holding an afternoon meeting one Tuesday in each month from 2pm to 4pm. It's called Tea and Chat, and it is simply that, a wonderful opportunity to drop in and chat for a while with a cuppa and a biscuit or very often cake. We believe it is vital to our well being that we have the chance to meet others and make new friends, share stories, and support one another in times of difficulty. It's what communities used to do. The next meeting is on Tuesday 5th March, Shrove Tuesday in Harrison Hall (enter through the main front door). Why not come along and enjoy a few hours in the company of new friends.
